  • Tapioca maltodextrin is a complex, highly branched carbohydrate source made from cassava root. It is less sweet than most sugars, allowing a high concentration to be more palatable.

    Fructose is a fruit sugar with a lower glycemic index and is absorbed by the body via a different, slower metabolic pathway than maltodextrin. This provides less strain on your digestive system while releasing those carbs more gradually.

  • Sea salt provides serious sodium, minor amounts of other electrolytes, and helps make the salty lemonade flavor I love enough to drink all day (after day after day).

    Magnesium malate is great for active absorption of Mg, which is critical for active muscle recovery and neurological function.

    Potassium citrate is a way better source of this critical operator in muscle function, compared to the bananas we so love to carry.

  • Organic freeze-dried lemon & lime provide rich natural flavor and a source of antioxidant vitamin C to help combat the oxidative stress of prolonged exercise. Using the whole fruit—juice, zest, peel, and all—provides a pleasant hint of bitterness and a natural source of calcium.

  • 87g Onanon mix = 80g carbohydrates = 320 calories

  • Each scoop of Onanon mix is around 20g mix when level, and about 26g when heaped.

How to Mix

For 80g carbs, use the compostable measuring scoop to pour three heaped scoops in your 500–750mL bottle. Close tightly and shake to mix!

It’s All Relative

  • This potency works well in a 500mL–750mL bottle of water, such as a soft flask for running, or most bike bottles.

  • Drink this over 1–2 hours, depending on intensity of activity. Repeat throughout.

  • You can mix onanon to whatever strength you desire, depending on pace/sweat levels.

  • While I intentionally made this with more electrolytes than other drink mixes, I like carrying SaltSticksⓇ for quick and easy defense against cramps or wooziness, especially on hot, sweaty days.
